Promises, promises

Lots of promises coming up in this provincial election, but no details. NDP leader Wab Kinew promises a balanced budget with no tax increases. This then would require spending cuts. Where will they be made?

Barry Banek

A question he won’t (can’t?) answer.

Trudeau succeeded by failing

The Liberal government experiment to turn Canada into a socialist country has become a nightmare for Canadians. Instead of the poor, middle class and the rich, Canada now has the homeless, those on government assistance, the working poor, retirees struggling to make ends meet, the middle class, and the rich. Under the Liberals, capitalists can’t make profits off people who don’t have any extra money. The high level of Trudeau’s taxation is having a profound impact on Canada’s economy along with the high level of Canada’s national debt. The lives and well-being of Canadians are in jeopardy. If millions of Canadians living below the poverty level is this government’s goal, then they have succeeded with that goal of socialism in this once great country of ours.

Trudeau has failed this country on so many fronts it’s hard to keep track.

Danger on the horizon

Re: “Federal government cleans up electricity regulations.” Wonderful! Just great! The feds are going after our wallets again. This time it’s in the name of `cleaning up’ Canada’s electricity grid — a.k.a. another one of Steven Guilbeault’s misleading climate change illusions. But what about doing something about a real climate threat, like EMPS and hardening our grid against them? It’s a very real threat that former Sun columnist Anthony Furey warned us about numerous times. Whether it be natural (the sun) or man-made (a nuclear attack), this is what really counts. As many scientists have long warned, it’s just a matter of time before the sun zaps the Earth — again. And given the danger that is North Korea, the man-made version is an all-too-real and present danger. When an EMP hits, everything stops. Nothing works. Isn’t hardening the grid where our money really needs to be spent better, instead of wasting it all the time? What say you, Steven and Justin?

Our environment minister is too busy cosying up to China to concern himself with things Canada needs.
