Youth charged with aggravated assault following stabbing

A male youth was arrested and charged after a 26-year-old was stabbed at a residence on Pimicikamak Cree Nation in northern Manitoba.

Cross Lake RCMP were called to the residence early Thursday where Mounties found the 26-year-old victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He was remanded into custody.

Cross Lake RCMP continue to investigate.
