A 28-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a man Thursday in the remote community of Poplar River, Man.

She was remanded into custody, RCMP announced Saturday.
Poplar River RCMP were called to a residence in the community for the report of a homicide on Thursday at around 8:10 p.m.
When they arrived, officers located a deceased 26-year-old man.
A woman was arrested and charged with manslaughter. Upon further investigation, a charge of second-degree murder was formally laid, RCMP said.
