A Brandon man was allegedly stabbed while he sat in his truck early Saturday morning.

Brandon Police Service officers responded to a hospital call around 2:30 a.m., with a victim saying he was stabbed in the 300-block of 13th Street in Brandon. The victim told police he was sitting in the back seat of his truck when a suspect opened the back door, and allegedly stabbed him in the stomach. The suspect fled and the victim was taken into surgery. He is now in stable condition.

The investigation is continuing.
