Rapid transit open house today

The city is dishing out details on the next phase of rapid transit at a public information session Tuesday.

The city has booked a room at Canad Inns Fort Garry, on Pembina Highway, from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the second phase of the Southwest Rapid Transitway, which will connect the first phase of the project with the University of Manitoba. The project comes with a price tag of $467.3 million and includes the building of the Jubilee Avenue underpass.

City staff will be there to provide information on the latest design plans, project elements, and construction deadlines.
