Winnipeg cops managed to stop 234 home-grown speeders in just three days

From Oct. 5-8, city police said their efforts through Operation Impact also resulted in 17 charges for using a handheld electronic device while driving, 62 charges for failing to wear seatbelts, and five impaired driving charges.

Impact was a joint initiative involving the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.
